Facebook Creator Content Monetisation Terms
Meta may make available to you one or more ways to monetise your eligible Content (defined below) on Facebook through the Facebook Creator Content Monetisation Programme. By participating in the Facebook Creator Content Monetisation Programme, you agree to comply with and you agree that your Content (defined below) complies with, these Facebook Creator Content Monetisation Programme Terms, including any additional terms presented to you in the Facebook Creator Content Monetisation dashboard (defined below), as well as Meta's Partner Monetisation Policies and Content Monetisation Policies (collectively, these "Terms"). Please read the Terms carefully.
Ad means an advertisement or promotion, including a photo or video advertisement, which may be in the form of a pre-roll, mid-roll, post-roll, overlay or other format/placement specified by Meta.
Content means your text, photo, video or audio content on Facebook, including but not limited to feed posts, stories, reels or other formats specified by us that are posted on a Facebook account controlled or operated by you or your representative or agent.
Content Monetisation Offer means an offer that you receive through the Dashboard to participate in the Facebook Creator Content Monetisation Programme.
Creator, you or your means the person or entity that authors or owns the Content, or its authorised agent (as applicable), or all other individuals or entities acting on your behalf, at your direction, under your control or under the direction or control of the same individual or entity who controls you.
Facebook Creator Content Monetisation Dashboard (or "Dashboard") means the interface that Meta may provide to you, including through the Professional Dashboard in the Facebook app and/or Meta Business Suite (and any successor or alternative versions thereof), where you may be eligible to (i) receive earnings from the performance of your eligible Content; and/or (ii) earn an incentive offered by Meta by taking certain actions or achieving certain performance targets for your eligible Content.
Facebook Creator Content Monetisation Programme (or "Programme") means any programme through which you are eligible to receive earnings, a bonus or other incentive offered by us for taking certain actions with respect to your Content and/or achieving certain performance targets for that Content (other than for the purposes of "Commerce Feature", as currently defined in our Seller Agreement) as specified in the Content Monetisation Offer.
Meta, we, our or us means Meta Platforms, Inc., Meta Platforms Ireland Limited or any related Meta entity.
- Each Content Monetisation Offer will include important details about the Programme, such as eligibility criteria, monetary terms and any start and end dates. Please refer to your Content Monetisation Offer for details. Content Monetisation Offers may vary by participant.
- You must enable Ads in your Content in order to be eligible for the Programme.
- To be eligible for payment, you must complete all programme onboarding and payment enrolment processes. Completion of the payment enrolment process within six (6) months after you've accepted these Terms is a condition of payment. If you do not complete the payment enrolment process within six (6) months after accepting these Terms, you forfeit and waive all rights to receive payment of any funds collected through the Programme.
- Your earnings will depend on one or more metrics and may differ by Content type and by Content Monetisation Offer. Metrics will be set for each type of monetisation and the corresponding earnings payout may not be linear. For example, there may not be a direct correlation between the number of plays a reel gets and the amount of your earnings payout.
- For any Content that is eligible for monetisation via the Programme, subject to and only in the event that you are in compliance in all respects with these Terms, we will pay you the amounts earned, as solely determined by us, minus deductions for any fraud or other legal violations, violations of Meta's terms or policies, bad debt, chargebacks, refunds, credit card processing fees and any third-party fees and costs (such as but not limited to payments to third-party rights holders in your Content), all as solely determined from Meta's records and figures.
- Subject to these Terms and provided that you have accurately completed and timely provided to us any forms or documentation that we request to set up payment to you (which payment information you must keep accurate and up to date) and further provided that you have the requisite authority to provide such information, payments will be made within approximately thirty (30) days after the end of the calendar month in which such earnings are generated. We will not be responsible for any subsequent fees applied by your financial institution to complete payment to you. Furthermore, in the event the payment due to you would be less than (i) Twenty Five United States Dollars (USD 25.00) if you reside in the United States, or (ii) One Hundred United States Dollars (USD 100.00) if you reside outside of the United States, we reserve the right to roll such payment over month to month until such payment threshold is met (unless your account is deactivated or terminated, in which case you forfeit any accrued amounts), at which time we will make the applicable payment to you. We reserve the right to deduct from any payments due or payable to you any amounts that are past due and remain uncollected by Meta from you in connection with any other Meta product or service. If you are acting as an agent (including, but not limited to, an agent or representative of a creator), you represent and warrant that you are authorised to provide the specific payment information that you give to us and, where applicable, to receive payment from us. We are not responsible for, and will not adjudicate, any disputes between you and any other entity relating to (i) the payment information that you provide to us, or (ii) the payment or any apportionment of the payment between you and any third party. You acknowledge that we are subject to US economic restrictions and trade sanctions. As such, we reserve the right to deny payment of monthly fees when required by applicable law.
- Any and all amounts payable by us to you in relation to the Programme are inclusive of any applicable taxes. In no event will we be liable for any taxes that are based upon your net or gross income or gross receipts. You will provide us with all applicable tax ID, tax forms, documents or certifications as may be required by applicable law for us to satisfy any tax information reporting and/or withholding tax obligations with respect to any payments hereunder. Where applicable, we shall be entitled to deduct and withhold from any consideration payable such amounts as are required to be deducted or withheld therefrom under any provision of US Federal, state, local or foreign tax law, or under any other applicable law (collectively, "Withholding Taxes"). In the event that any remittance made by us to you is subject to any Withholding Taxes, the full amount of any such Withholding Taxes shall be solely for your account. We may deduct the full amount of such Withholding Tax from the gross amount owed to you, and will pay the full amount withheld over to the competent tax authorities. Where applicable, you agree that you will be solely responsible for compliance with all applicable tax regulations. Where applicable, you (i) agree that we will prepare and issue VAT invoices under self-billing arrangement, (ii) acknowledge and accept the validity of such self-billed invoices, and (iii) agree that you will be responsible for timely remittance to applicable tax authorities of any tax amounts on such self-billed invoices that were paid to you by us.
- There are no representations, warranties or guarantees, express or implied, about how much, or whether, you will receive payment if you choose to monetise your Content and/or participate in the Programme. The Programme and any of its features may be unavailable, inaccurate or interrupted from time to time for a variety of reasons. We are not responsible for any unavailability, interruptions, errors, defects, loss, or inaccuracy or corruption of data with respect to the Programme or its features. Payment made pursuant to the Programme does not reflect or guarantee your entitlement to any future payment.
- Any payments made to you pursuant to the Programme do not constitute endorsements of any Content related to such payments.
- Your payout, if any, is subject at all times to your compliance with these Terms, including the terms of any Content Monetisation Offer. We reserve the right, at our sole reasonable discretion, to withhold or not issue payment to you if you or your Content violates these Terms or any of Meta's terms or policies that apply to the Content or your use of the Meta Products. If you permanently delete your Content, that Content may be ineligible for payout through the Dashboard. Content shared from Instagram that is shown as recommended content on Facebook does not count as progress towards fulfilling a Content Monetisation Offer.
- You will only provide Content for which you own and/or control all rights (or have obtained all necessary licences/permissions to such rights), globally, including rights in any sound recordings or musical compositions included in the Content and any performers appearing in it, and your Content will not infringe the rights of any third parties.
- You will not, and will not authorise or encourage any third party to, directly or indirectly, generate views or generate impressions, click-throughs, conversions or other actions with respect to any Content or Ad through any automated, deceptive, fraudulent or otherwise invalid means, including through repeated manual clicks, the use of "robots" or other automated tools, or by payment of money, false representation, or any illegal or otherwise invalid means for end users to take actions with respect to that Content or Ad. To the extent that you may be entitled to payment based on a specific metric, you warrant that those metrics did not result from any automated, deceptive, fraudulent or otherwise invalid means. We will not pay any earnings that reflect misleading or inauthentic behaviour or otherwise invalid means.
- If you choose to monetise your Content pursuant to these Terms, information that identifies you (including things such as your name and username) and information about your Content (including things such as URL, follower count and views) may be shared with third parties, including advertisers and measurement partners, to provide them with, among other things, (i) visibility into the Content by which their Ads appear and (ii) the ability to prevent (or allow) Ads from appearing near your Content.
- Your acceptance of these Terms does not guarantee your eligibility for the Programme or for any payment in connection with the Programme. To the extent permitted by law, Meta reserves the right to provide or restrict your access to the Programme and/or the Dashboard at its sole discretion at any time. During any period in which you have access to the Dashboard, Meta is not obligated to insert any Ads in your Content. Meta and advertisers may block Ads in your Content for any or no reason. You may be provided with tools to block specific advertisers of your choice, but you will otherwise not have control over the Ad content.
- All Ads are subject to Meta's Community Standards and Advertising Policies.
- Notwithstanding anything to the contrary, we may display an Ad at any insertion point, format or placement in your Content (or such format or placement specified by Meta) at our sole discretion.
- To the extent permitted by law, we DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We cannot predict what issues might arise with the Dashboard. Accordingly, our liability shall be limited to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, and under no circumstance will we be liable to you for any lost profits, revenues, information or data, or consequential, special, indirect, exemplary, punitive or incidental damages arising out of or related to these Terms or the Meta Products, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Meta Products will not exceed One Hundred United States Dollars (USD 100.00). The laws of some jurisdictions may imply warranties or conditions which cannot be excluded, restricted or modified except to a limited extent, or may not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In such cases, some or all of the disclaimers, exclusions or limitations set forth above may not apply to you.
- To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, suits, losses, liabilities, damages, costs and expenses, including without limitation, reasonable legal fees and costs, arising out of or in any way connected to the Content or your breach of these Terms.
- If you are using any of the Dashboard features on behalf of a third party (including, but not limited to, as an agent or representative of a Creator), you represent and warrant that you have the authority as agent of such party to use such features on their behalf, agree to these Terms and hereby bind such party to these Terms. You agree to indemnify and hold Meta harmless from any claims, suits, losses, liabilities, damages, costs and expenses resulting from your breach of the Terms. If you are accepting these Terms as admin of Meta Business Manager for your business, these Terms shall apply to Content on all Facebook Pages and profiles owned or operated by your business at the time of acceptance and thereafter.
- You may extend these Terms to any of your affiliates, representatives or agents, subject to their compliance, in which case, (i) you enter into these Terms on behalf of yourself and such participating affiliates, representatives or agents, (ii) you shall remain responsible for a breach of these Terms by such affiliates, representatives or agents, and (iii) references to "you" or "your" herein shall be interpreted as applying to such affiliates, representatives or agents where applicable.
- You agree to receive electronic communications regarding the Programme, payments and other related topics. You also agree to receipt of such communications through the Dashboard, posts on the Facebook app, via the email address provided to us or by post at the street address that you provided to us. Website and email notices shall be deemed received by you within twenty-four (24) hours of the time posted or sent; notices by post shall be considered received within three (3) business days of the date sent.
- You will not issue or permit any other party to issue any press release or otherwise make any public statements or disclosures (including via online media) regarding these Terms, the transactions contemplated by these Terms or performed hereunder, or about your relationship with us without our prior written approval.
- You agree to keep strictly confidential any non-public information disclosed to you as a result of your participation in the Programme, including, where applicable, the content of any non-public communications to you from us, whether surfaced in the Dashboard, Facebook app, by email or through some other means.
- You represent and warrant that: (i) you have the full right and power to agree to these Terms and to perform your obligations hereunder; (ii) you are at least 18 years of age; and (iii) the performance of your obligations hereunder will not conflict with any obligations that you may have to any other party.

The parties hereby supplement Meta's Terms of Service and all other terms, conditions and policies incorporated therein, including the Commercial Terms and Advertising Standards (collectively, the "Meta Terms") by means of these Terms. The Programme is part of the "Meta Products" under the Meta Terms, and your use of the Programme is deemed part of your use of Meta Products. In the event of any express conflict between these Terms and the Meta Terms, these Terms will govern solely with respect to your participation in the Programme and the use of the Dashboard, and solely to the extent of the conflict. Meta's Terms of Service include a provision that requires the resolution of most disputes by arbitration on an individual basis. These Terms do not alter in any way the terms or conditions of any other agreement you may have with Meta. We reserve the right to monitor or audit your compliance with these Terms and to update these terms from time to time at our discretion, and your continued participation in the Programme and use of the Dashboard constitutes acceptance of those changes.
